Interesting facts:
Here is why decorators and stylists prefer feather inners over synthetic fiber or foam:
- Supreme Comfort & Support: Feathers offer a plush, breathable, and cloud-like feel. They easily conform to your shape whether you are using them for back support or resting your head.
- The “Karate Chop” Look: Because of the natural flexibility of feathers, they can be easily dented in the center to create the classic, sophisticated “chopped” fold that interior designers love.
- Exceptional Durability: While synthetic cushions eventually flatten out, feather inners maintain their volume and shape for years. When they start to look a little tired, a quick plump brings them right back to life.
- Natural “Bounce-Back” and Resilience: The natural structure of feathers allows them to quickly trap air and recover their loft.
- Seamless Filling: A mix of feathers and down fills the corners of a scatter cushion perfectly, eliminating the sagging, empty corners common with cheaper polyester inserts.
